At Sea - Part 1

Welcome to the Viking Sun.  If you enlarge this picture, you may be able to see a circle around our window, deck 6 of 8 decks with cabins, port side, toward the front of the ship.

Today is the third of seven sea days in a row.  Viking does not want us to get bored, so they plan lots to do, or you can just do nothing, or you can do as little or as much as you want. One of Darrell's favorite thing is reading.

This is our cabin.  Darrell is in the "sitting room" with his back to the television.  You can see the curtain which can be closed to separate the bedroom, which also has a television.  Live coverage is limited to a few news stations, and even then, there are times when we cannot get any live coverage.  However, the television screen also provides us with weather, ship tracking, dining menus, music,
TV series (only 2 old ones,) lots of movie and documentary choices, TED Talks and repeats of all the lectures given on the ship.

Two of my favorite places are shown below.
This coffee machine makes espresso, latte
and cappuccino, regular or decaf.
There is always a jigsaw puzzle going.

Next post I will show you more of the ship.

  1. I can see the circle! I love being able to get an image of where you are on the ship. Are there walking groups or exercise groups, especially while you are at sea for so many days?
