On Our Way Again

After 2 years and 7 canceled cruises, the Zenks are taking to the seas again.  We are on a "repositioning cruise" to Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Viking runs cruises in the Mediterranean Sea during the summer, but wants their ship in South America during the Southern Hemisphere summer. so we are on that ship, the Viking Jupiter.  We have not sailed on the Jupiter before, but I do not expect the ship to be very different from the other Viking ocean ships.  One difference will be the number of passengers.  In the past, the ships have sailed at almost full capacity.  This one may only be about half full.

The original plan called for stops in Morocco, Senegal, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.  However, many countries are still not open to tourists, so we will miss Morocco (again), Brazil, and probably Uruguay.  They added Valencia, Spain, and we will have a lot more Sea days.  The sea days are fine for us.

The paperwork adds up.  First there was Verifly which required all our information, including a picture.  Then there is the Viking registration to get a boarding pass - another picture..  We need a negqtive3 Covid test within 72 hours of our first flight, so we did that today.  Hope the results come back in time!  Now we only have to file the paperwork to let us into Spain, but that has to be no more than 48 hours before we land in Barcelona.  I will have to check time zones to see what that comes to in EST.

Packing is coming along, but still needs some work, so back to the tasks.
