A Fjord is Not a Norwegian Automobile

....Nor are fjords confined to Norway.  A fjord is defined as "a long, narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs, created by a glacier."  They occur all over the globe, but the ones we saw were along the southern and western coasts of Chile.  As we wound in and among the islands off the coast, each view was more spectacular than the last.  Norwegian fjords are usually covered with waterfalls, but this part of the world is much drier, so we saw few waterfalls.  Some slopes were covered in low trees and others were bare rock.  Here are some of the scenes we saw.
